This is a website that can be used to search women authors by name, country, ethnicity, or century. There is also a "frequently asked questions" page for the website, that is very helpful in answering general questions. The team that edits this website aim to make resources about women authors more easily available to the public.
o The Ten Most Powerful Women Authors. http://www.forbes.com/sites/avrildavid/2011/06/06/the-10-most-powerful-women-authors/.
Forbes list of the top ten most powerful women authors, published in 2011. This list includes J.K. Rowling, Danielle Steele, Mary Higgins Clark, and Maya Angelou. Forbes has included a brief biography on each author, and what she is most known for.
o Literary Women. http://literarywomen.org.
The organization Literary Women is putting on a book festival just for women authors, in March 2013. This book festival is honoring 7 specific women authors, such as, Eleanor Brown, Julie Otsuka, and Dana Spiotta. Each author includes a link to their official homepage, which includes their biographies.

This website includes a biography and overview of Picoult's life, as well as information on every novel she has written so far. Picoult has also included a link to download her podcasts.

There is also a list of books Atwood has written, as well as books others have written about Atwood. There are also resources for other writers. Atwood also includes a webpage solely dedicated to organizations she is involved in, or supports.
Octavia Butler
Octavia Butler's official website has several resources for people who are interested in knowing more about her life. A biography is available, which includes a list of awards she has received. This website includes a page for other links, and three of them go to other biographies on Butler. For each book she has written, there is a short paragraph describing what that book is about.
OUPblog is run by the Oxford University Press, and under their "history" section they have several links to various biographies, including one on Octavia Butler. This biography goes into much greater detail about Butler's life, and how it affected her writing. This biography includes where she received her education and where she grew up.
